The Yaci Foundation was inspired by the personal journey of our founder, who, as a young mother in her twenties, experienced firsthand the challenges of balancing family, education, and personal growth. This experience taught her that investing in young women is never a waste of time or resources it is a powerful way to build stronger families and a stronger society.
Motivated by this belief, the Foundation was created to provide women with the support, tools, and opportunities they need to pursue education, entrepreneurship, and personal development, while also addressing the essential needs of families in their communities. Through our programs, we aim to empower women to reach their full potential and contribute to a more resilient, thriving society.
YACI Foundation is a pan-African humanitarian initiative committed to empowering vulnerable women, young girls, and families through food security, education support, and sustainable economic opportunities.
Founded in 2025, YACI Foundation began its work in Burkina Faso, responding to urgent community needs with dignity-centered, locally driven solutions. Our first initiative focuses on food kit distribution to families in underserved neighborhoods, prioritizing households led by women and those caring for school-age children.
YACI Foundation was created in recognition of a simple truth: when women and girls are supported, entire communities thrive. While emergency assistance is sometimes necessary, we believe long-term change is achieved through empowerment, skills development, and access to opportunity.
Our work is guided by three core program areas:
Food Security – providing essential food assistance to vulnerable families during critical periods
Women & Girls’ Economic Empowerment – supporting small micro-business initiatives that promote independence and resilience
Education Support – supplying school materials and basic educational resources to children in need
YACI Foundation operates with a community-led approach, partnering with local leaders, women’s groups, and grassroots organizations to ensure our programs are culturally relevant, effective, and sustainable.
Currently operating as a community initiative in formation, YACI Foundation is preparing for formal registration in 2026. As we build on our initial impact in Burkina Faso, we are laying the groundwork to expand our programs to Guinea, Ethiopia, and other African countries, using a scalable and accountable model.
At YACI Foundation, dignity, transparency, and sustainability are at the heart of everything we do. Our goal is not only to meet immediate needs, but to help women, girls, and families build a future rooted in stability, opportunity, and hope.
